Um spítu // About a plank
A crucified wooden structure is illuminated by a light that travels along a chain. The shifting light introduces a sense of movement, as if the object were alive—or dreaming. The work pushes the boundaries of remorse, questioning whether we can feel empathy for abstract or inanimate forms.

Accompanying the installation is a 20-minute horror film told from the perspective of the plank itself, documenting its transformation into the structure as it endures a surreal and violent process at the hands of a farmer.

The wall piece is a light machine made from bicycle parts and leftover wood. A chain runs between gears and moves a spotlight back and forth with the help of a drill, illuminating the sculpture.
